 What's New for the 2024 Subaru Legacy?

The Subaru Legacy has long been a top pick for sedan shoppers in the Evergreen Park area. It is a midsize sedan currently in its seventh generation. While it has evolved impressively over the last few decades, the 2024 Legacy has only one update: a new Harman Kardon sound system standard for the Sport trim level.

The Legacy is recognized as a well-equipped and stylish sedan loaded with value. Its look is established by a confident flow across its profile and well-defined rocker panels on the sides. The front end is decidedly sporty with a wide, hexagon-like grille accented by horizontal bars. The lower fascia is thin with an A-frame design, and it is flanked by large, C-shaped ports holding the small fog lamps. The thick headlights have a dramatic look with several LED elements. Some or all of the five trim levels are offered with power-folding, heated side mirrors, up to 18-inch wheels, sunroof, spoiler, and keyless entry.

The first three of the five trims are outfitted with an 182-horsepower gas system with a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. The other 2024 Legacy trims have a four-cylinder, turbo 2.5-liter engine with 260 horsepower. For all of the 2024 Legacy trims, you can benefit from all-wheel drive and a continuously variable auto transmission. The Sport trim level adds a sports suspension system.

Other than the addition of the Harman Kardon sound system, the features offered in the 2024 Legacy are unchanged. Entry-level features include two USB ports, auto climate management, 7-inch central display screens, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and forward collision mitigation. If you opt for a higher Legacy trim, your Subaru could also have heated rear and front seats, an 11.6-inch touch display screen, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, driver's memory settings, a driver monitoring system, a wide-angle camera, a navigation system, and numerous additional features.
