Delivering Blankets to Leukemia Patients - June 25th 2026 - Manuel P

This year we provided 80 blankets and 30 patient kits to leukemia patients! Leukemia treatments can be grueling, and hospitals are notoriously chilly so a soft, warm blanket is often much more than just a physical comfort; it's a powerful reminder that an entire community is rooting for them. It warms our hearts and reminds us what community is about. A huge thank you to Blood Cancer United and Advocate Christ! Having reliable, welcoming partners makes all the difference when putting together an initiative like this.

Subaru takes on Invasive Plants - Hannah G

On April 11th 2026, a group of volunteers from Subaru Evergreen Park headed to forest preserve called "The Little Red School House" to help remove the invasive species destroying the natural wildlife. The invasive Honey Suckle and Buckthorn did not stand a chance against the volunteers sent to pull them. Within the two hour frame, many of the invasive plants were ripped from the ground and sent to the bonfire. The local trees and plants were able to reclaim areas within the forest preserve and no longer struggling to survive. We as a team are very grateful that we were allowed to be apart of this restoration and protection of our local area.

Sharing the Love with the Evergreen Park Village Pantry Coalition! - Manuel P

This year we were proud to present the Evergreen Park Food Pantry with a check for over eleven thousand dollars! Having community members, Mayor Burke, and our leadership come together to present this check was a testament to Subaru's dedication to supporting local communities. Hearing first hand from volunteers at the food pantry how the funds will go towards their building infrastructure and supplying new fridges warmed the hearts of everyone in attendance. We appreciate the great work done by the Village Pantry Coalition and are proud to continue to partner with them to assist our local community!

Adoption Event at Evergreen Park Subaru August 2, 2025 - Alene S

The reason I bought my 2023 Crosstrek was, in part, Subaru's commitment to pets. I'm a senior citizen who has had dogs all my life, usually multiple dogs at a time (all rescues). Last November one of my dogs, Harry, passed away suddenly of cancer of the spleen, he was only 7 years old. My other dog missed him so much, the sadness in her face was so hard to see. Her name is Violet and she had a tendency to be "dog selective". I introduced her to an older male dog at the shelter but it did not go well at all, her hackles were up and there was some teeth flashing so I left. Put the idea of adoption on the back burner for awhile but it was still so hard to see Violet's sad demeanor everyday. Then I found out about an adoption event at the local Subaru dealership not far from my house. There were several puppies and a couple of dogs who were under 3 years old. Those would be too much for Violet to handle since she is 11 years old. Then I spotted Pudge. The people from the shelter told me he was around 7 years old, he had issues with his skin and joint soreness. He was such a sweet, laid back dog, I immediately fell for him. I told the people there I would have to do a "meet and greet" with Violet before I could make a decision. Went home and got her. I couldn't believe it, they got along beautifully, I would never have expected that to happen at all! Paid the adoption fee, brought him home and he was perfect from the afternoon I brought him to my house. He is totally housebroken, non destructive, no need to be crated at all, he and Violet are best friends. I ordered a DNA test to see exactly what he is. I'm guessing he has some Basset Hound and maybe some Australian Cattle dog. I changed his name to Elijah (Eli for short). I just love that dog. Even though I don't know how long I will have him, I will give him love and the best life ever.

Subaru Evergreen Park Loves To Care! - Kristin V

On June 18,2025 Subaru of Evergreen Park made a generous donation of pillows/blankets to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oaklawn, Illinois in conjunction with the Subaru Loves To Care Program. A caravan of Subaru vehicles arrived with boxes of blankets. The team included Manuel, Michael, and others from the team. There were so many boxes where wheelchairs were used to transport to floors to be distributed. The outgoing Advocate team included Samantha, Lauren, Tiffany as well as others. We are certain this dedicated team will deliver these to the Patients at this facility. Messages of Hope and Support were also delivered by the Subaru team! A Great experience for all!

Subaru Evergreen Park Supports Future Ties, NFP - Joshua S

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Tinley Park, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Subaru Evergreen Park is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Subaru Evergreen Park have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/20/2025, Subaru Evergreen Park donated 120 coats to Future Ties, NFP. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
