Adoption Event at Evergreen Park Subaru August 2, 2025 - Alene S

The reason I bought my 2023 Crosstrek was, in part, Subaru's commitment to pets. I'm a senior citizen who has had dogs all my life, usually multiple dogs at a time (all rescues). Last November one of my dogs, Harry, passed away suddenly of cancer of the spleen, he was only 7 years old. My other dog missed him so much, the sadness in her face was so hard to see. Her name is Violet and she had a tendency to be "dog selective". I introduced her to an older male dog at the shelter but it did not go well at all, her hackles were up and there was some teeth flashing so I left. Put the idea of adoption on the back burner for awhile but it was still so hard to see Violet's sad demeanor everyday. Then I found out about an adoption event at the local Subaru dealership not far from my house. There were several puppies and a couple of dogs who were under 3 years old. Those would be too much for Violet to handle since she is 11 years old. Then I spotted Pudge. The people from the shelter told me he was around 7 years old, he had issues with his skin and joint soreness. He was such a sweet, laid back dog, I immediately fell for him. I told the people there I would have to do a "meet and greet" with Violet before I could make a decision. Went home and got her. I couldn't believe it, they got along beautifully, I would never have expected that to happen at all! Paid the adoption fee, brought him home and he was perfect from the afternoon I brought him to my house. He is totally housebroken, non destructive, no need to be crated at all, he and Violet are best friends. I ordered a DNA test to see exactly what he is. I'm guessing he has some Basset Hound and maybe some Australian Cattle dog. I changed his name to Elijah (Eli for short). I just love that dog. Even though I don't know how long I will have him, I will give him love and the best life ever.

Subaru Evergreen Park Loves To Care! - Kristin V

On June 18,2025 Subaru of Evergreen Park made a generous donation of pillows/blankets to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oaklawn, Illinois in conjunction with the Subaru Loves To Care Program. A caravan of Subaru vehicles arrived with boxes of blankets. The team included Manuel, Michael, and others from the team. There were so many boxes where wheelchairs were used to transport to floors to be distributed. The outgoing Advocate team included Samantha, Lauren, Tiffany as well as others. We are certain this dedicated team will deliver these to the Patients at this facility. Messages of Hope and Support were also delivered by the Subaru team! A Great experience for all!

Subaru Loves The Earth - CARLOS U

For Subaru Loves the Earth we partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to give out 100 trees to the local community. Throughout the promotion we reached out to our local community and customer base to get the trees in good homes. With the help of the Chicago Wilderness Alliance we managed to get all 100 trees distributed to the community! Thank you to the Arbor Day Foundation for being our partner, special thanks to everyone who picked up a tree, and a huge thank you to CWA for helping us promote a successful event!

Helping the Fight - Carlos U

Approximately every three minutes, a person in the U.S. is diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma. The recovery can be long and often leaves them feeling weak, cold, and isolated. During the month of June, as part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, Subaru Evergreen Park is partnering with Advocate Christ Medical Center to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope written by Subaru Evergreen Park employees and our customers to support patients facing cancer. Cancer is something that impacts so many and we will continue the fight until there is a cure.
