 What's New for the 2024 Subaru Forester?

The Subaru Forester is a rugged, stylish crossover SUV ready for adventure. It delivers the full functionality you expect from your next compact crossover and a bold selection of exciting features that boost your driving experience. In 2019, the Forester introduced its fifth generation with a significant refresh. While improvements have been made since then, no updates have been introduced in the 2024 model year.

The Forester's style is defined by a tall profile with an almost flat hood that flares slightly on the edges. The smooth sides highlight the height of the cabin, and they are dressed up with black molding for added functionality. The front has an inverted grille that trends upward and outward toward the edgy headlights. These headlights have a diamond-like shape and an LED ribbon that wraps around three sides and spins off. Foglamps are mounted vertically in the slanted air intakes.

One powertrain is offered across the 2024 Forester's six trim levels. This is an 182-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. It is connected to a continuously variable auto transmission. The Wilderness trim level has an enhanced towing capacity of 3,000 pounds, adding higher ground clearance and a skid plate.

Suppose you decide to take home the Forester's base trim level. In that case, you can enjoy adaptive cruise control, smartphone app integration, satellite radio, an auto climate control system, a 6.5-inch touch display screen, forward collision mitigation, and lane-keeping assistance. More advanced features are offered in higher trim levels. These include a nine-speaker Harman Kardon system, an integrated navigation system, a heated steering wheel, heated rear, and front seats, a driving monitor system, an 8-inch touch display screen, evasive steering assistance, a blind-spot warning, a heated steering wheel, tinted windows, keyless entry, driver's memory settings, leather upholstery, a two-zone auto climate control system and other modern features.
